these pictures she took,
with the peppermint swirl skirt
that accentuated the not-quite red of her hair,
made her legs look barely contained
by use of a frame breaking line-
five foot three and the pictures looked like six.
first she exposed her ass and thighs,
then her crotch in mid-shot,
last her face in close-up.
that face well-defined in every shot
with its strong lines and hidden concepts,
with its suggestion of challenging thoughts,
with its awkward determination.
I clicked past her profile with a sneer.
clicked back and admired her willingness
to be upfront and half-naked and honest.
then thought less of myself.
and then I wrote a poem.
and then I wacked off.
