They say you seem like someone
from a movie
thus they call you 'Lance'
with a tinged

swift switch of the eyes

lust love hate
flash

'You're humbler." he says
after telling you about
Genghis Khan's
righteous wrath
killing forty million

all said as a challenge

some people are mirrors
others see
two-dimensional versions
of themselves

counting
to none

I don't know what it means
but I like it
